Parkshore Grill

Parkshore Grill is a lovely spot for lunch or dinner. It’s located directly across the street from a park that’s sandwiched between the restaurant and the water. If you opt for the outdoor dining, you get gorgeous views of green and blue. As you might expect, reservations are recommended but I got there early and they were happy to go ahead and seat me.

The interior is warm and inviting and features mahogany wood throughout. The seating is relaxing and comfortable, the staff is polite, and the prices are very good for an establishment boasting multiple Best Chef awards, a Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence, a Golden Spoon award and a place on Open Table’s listing of the top 100 alfresco restaurants.

I ordered a simple burger and fries. The burger was big enough that I couldn’t fit it in my mouth (yes, I can hear the laughter), the meat was cooked to perfection and the parmesan fries sprinkled with sea salt were fabulous. I finished up with a cappuccino that could curl your hair, but it was delicious. Oh yes – I’d go back.

Parkshore Grill is in the Central Arts District, so you could easily plan a day trip and spend all day. Within easy driving distance are the Dali Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg Museum of History, the Chihuly Collection, Florida Holocaust Museum and the Art Lofts. Be sure to save some time for that leisurely lunch at Parkshore Grill.
